Lizzy Love on a Gorgeous Day

It's back to being 'spring-ish' outside again after a few nasty and depressing days here in Ontario. So why is it that I decide today is the day to stay inside and be crafty? Who knows! But I'm glad I did, because I whipped up this card with Dear Lizzy stuff! There are so many reasons I love this line. You can pretty much make anything with it...birthday, Easter, Spring...it's just GORGEOUS!! Obviously this card is either going to either my Nana or my Mom because it's guarenteed to be saved for eternity.

Thanks for looking...and have a fabulous day!

Random Cute Cards

What can I say about Material Girl by Cosmo? Brilliant!? Superb!? I simply love it. I can just see all the cute and girly cards I will be making in the future with this collection. And layouts? Perhaps some of my cutest outfits will make it in a few pictures. Anywho, this card I made for my Aunt Heather for her birthday. Her birthday was only a few weeks after her Dad passed away, and it's easy to see the heart-break across her face even when she smiles, so I knew even the smallest gesture (a birthday card) might make her day a little brighter among the sadness that has been surrounding her lately. I hope you liked it, Heather, and I love you dearly.

This an extremely important "Thank-You" card and envelope. This card I made for the nurses and doctors in the Acute Care Unit at Grand River Hospital. I made them this card to thank them for taking such good care of my step-grandfather while he was in Acute Care. He passed away peacefully in a private room alone, between an hour to two hours after all the family had gone home. He passed away on February 14th 2010, and went home to the love of his life, Lola in heaven. What can I say, we will miss him greatly, but it's a very romantic Valentine's Day story.

This is the card I made for my sweetheart, Tyler this past Valentine's Day. He loved it!!

Hello Bloggin' World!

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my blog! I have yet to master this new realm of bloggin' and all the different tools and fun options that are at my fingertips, but I'm going to just have to do my best until I get it all figured out.

You might be checking out his blog because you know of many VAST creative talents in the field of scrapbooking and card-making (haha, ya...right), or youmight be a family member or friend of mine trying to keep up with my latest. Whatever it is, I really appreciate you popping by.

To try to make my blog fun and interesting, I have set out a few simple goals to get myself started with (best of luck, me). Here they are:

  1. Post at least twice a week. This means blog (write) a bit about what's going on with me, as well as post at least one new card, and/or a new scrapbook layout (LO),

  2. Find new and exciting gadgets to play with on the blog (ie. slideshow, media player, etc),

  3. Find followers and promote my blog. I would love to have 20 followers by the end of 2010, but that could just be a pipe dream...

All I have to say about that is GOOD LUCK! Who knows what possibilities are in store until you try...right?

Thanks for popping by!
Kailey
